Most of the young smokers (9th + 10th graders) at my school ARE pretty damn stupid! They always get busted for dumb stuff and do pretty bad in their classes (from what I've heard). The other day this fool was trying to sell some nasty schwag in the bathroom and he even asked me if I wanted any. I should have smacked em across the face with a stapler! I did blow up the spot, however, with a series of loud, degrading comments about his weed. Doesn't take much to get them mad, either.

It's really wierd but I can just remember some stuff and not other stuff. And I conducted a test with myself to see if when high I could focus and do stuff I could do when not high.

And I passed

Got a link or at least a citation for the article you read? If it's the one I'm thinking of it's in the BMJ. I think the results do have merit though...

People here may be an exception, but I'm certain there are people out there who have done poorly in school due to drug use. This isn't to say that the pot chemically effected them, but the behaviour associated with teenade use could be resposible.

Either way, get back with the reference, I'll see if I can look it up...

...and you are how old?

I don't condone children smoking or drinking....however I don't approve of over generalizations either.

The first time I smoked was the summer before my junior year in HS. I was about 16 years old. I never touched the stuff again for over 2 years! Then the summer before my freshman year of college (18 years old) a friend that I was living with reunited me. We smoked almost every night for over a month. I have since moved and I continue to smoke in this manor. My life seems to be on a healthy cycle and I notice no negative effects of smoking what-so-ever. I test high on IQ tests so until smoking has any negative effect on my life I will continue on in the same fashion.

* I must note, because of my personal experience with this topic I would definitely suggest that people wait until the age of 18 to smoke in any sort of pattern. I realized at 16 years old that this was not something I was ready to control. Many people at that age did not realize that it was seriously affecting them.

Just because you weren't ready doesn't mean anyone under 18 is the same way. I'm 15 and I have my life going great for me.

Just pointing it out

It's just like those stupid FreeVibe Weed Side Effects, lazy, acne, less motivated. I'd say 75% of non-tokers out there have those during the teenage years.

Don't worry, you won't end up slower than the next person unless you overdo it. Hell, in my spare time I read up on quantum physics, but I'm in math 14. Maybe the school curriculum is the problem?
