Marijuana causing cancer

Ok, I used to browse this forum a LOT because I was really worried about the effects of marijuana etc. I got a great amount of knowledge from doing so and I've continued to use this knowledge / smoke weed and have faith in everything I've learned here (including that it doesn't kill braincells blah blah, straight A's in accelerated classes for all u non-believers)

Anyways I have a chronic disease (crohn's, one of which that marijuana is supposed to help, and I honestly believe it helps ease pain a lot). Anyways I remember hearing that it does not in fact cause any type of cancer, and that no study that claimed that it did was in fact legitimate.

I'd like to once again ask though whether or not it does have a cancerous affect. I'm buying a vape off my friend soon so I can stop smoking a lot anyways, but I just want to make sure b/c i've been smoking since I was 14 (17 now) and a lot of your lungs are developed during that period and I don't want to think that I fcked up. That'd be really shitty to die from cancer, almost all of my dad's family did (not b/c of smoking or doing anything they just happened to all contract it). Anyways any info.?? Please don't respond if you don't actually know...

A vaporizer releases the fewest amount of carcinogens of any other method of smoking. Government sites and rehab centers will tell you that it causes cancer, but there really haven't been any reliable studies due to the legal issues.

There is no evidence that marijuana contributes to lung cancer. The largest study found that people who smoke only marijuana have fewer instances of lung cancer than people who don't smoke anything. People who smoke both marijuana and tobacco have fewer instances of lung cancer than people who smoke only tobacco.

There are reports that smoking marijuana has contributed to cancers of the mouth, face, and throat. I haven't seen the studies on which these reports are based, but I tend to doubt them because every study I've seen, including in vitro studies, indicates that the chemicals in marijuana tend to suppress tumor growth.

Yes Buzzby is right. All the reports and studies that I have seen that were unbiased factual studies concluded that some of the chemicals in marijuana do indeed suppress tumor growth.

You already have a genetic pre-dispostion to cancer, from what I've read it if anything it should help reduce your chances of getting cancer.
