I live in San Diego and am contemplating getting a medicinal card but i have a few concerns ide like cleared up if i may. Whats the legality regarding owning a card if your work place drug tests and is a "drug free" operation. I work for a major hotel chain and i just passed my drug screening and start work very soon, if i were to get a card now would my work need to be notified of this? could they ever find out? if they did find out could i be fired? I also heard once you obtain a medical marijuana card it "stays on your record" forever. Meaning if you were to get another job elsewhere even out of state the employer would somehow know. Is there anything else im overlooking? I would hate to screw myself over for the rest of my life because i want to stop taking pain killers. All opinions/concerns would be greatly appreciated
