| I know that THC gets stuck to fat in your body. So is it true that if you start working out like running or lifting weighs that the fat burns and the THC goes to ur system again and you get high again?

| Short answer, No. It isn't the THC in your fat, it is residual stuff.. I am sure that if you do a search on this, you will find the long answer. I would recommend that you check the Urine Testing Forum. I know that there is information regarding the metabolism and how that the 'stuff' gets out of the fat. Daniel

| I believe the type of THC that gets you high is flushed out of your system within 5-7 hrs. But there is another kind of THC that doesn't get you high, but is detectable. This is "stored" in your body fat, between 7 - 30 days, depending on the person.

| When THC enters your body it is rapidly sent to the blood-rich organs (heart, lungs, brain) then it starts to work its way to tissues that recieve less blood such as fat tissues which is where unmetabolized THC is stored. If you are a heavy user significant amounts of THC can be stored in the fat tissues. In between use the fat bound THC is slowly released back into your blood stream, but I dont believe it will actually get you high.

| ![]() THC can be stored in your fat. The amount released is not enough to get you high. If you get high from, let's say running, it's actually a "runners high" caused by endorphins in your body. The amount of THC released makes no significant contribution to your high. The lack of serious withdrawals is because of THC being stored in your fat. A person is slowly seperated from it. Other drugs, such as alcohol, are quickly eliminated from your system, and as a result, can result in serious withdrawals as extreme as death.

| So let me try and understand this... the reason the withdrawal is slower and not as severe as most drugs is because it is slowly released rather than abruptly (within a few days) like most drugs? So maybe this means that exercising and burning that fat.. thus, clearing out more THC from your body... exercise can increase the severity of so-called withdrawal symptoms but lessen the length of time you experience them? I mean after all, scientists did identify a withdrawal syndrome similar to nicotine withdrawal.. thoughts? |

| It would probably depend on how much fat you burn, and then burning fat that actually has THC in it. |
