| Is it true that, unlike alcohol, marijuana gives you an inverse tallerance? Like you could smoke less as time goes on and still get the same high...??? |

It is quite untrue. you can gain a tolerance but unlike alcohol it wont stay the same. it changes from time to time, with the amount of weed you are smoking.

| scientifically, no. But quoted from some experienced users, they seem to have built a reverse tolerance.

| if you smoke more than once per day, the idea of a reverse tolerance comes into play, because you smoke before you come down, and therefore you smoke less to attain the same high, but it isnt a reverse tolerance, just a build up of THC. |

| Sounds right to me. The first time you smoke you probably won't get high, and if you did get high, you probably had to smoke a lot. Remember the first time you got drunk? It took 1 shot to get you plastered, now it takes 9. People who have been smoking for a while need less weed to get high. An experienced smoker could load a small .2 bowl of some good bud and get high, while a beginner would require more than that to notice any effects. That, in my opinion, is a reverse tolerance. It could be something with the amount of THC buildup in the body, but that wouldn't explain why other drugs are the exact opposte: alcohol you need more of the more years you drink, you keep smoking more cigarettes as time progresses, you keep taking 2x the amount of magical fungi you took last time, etc. Everytime requires more of it, whilst mary-jane only needs a good 1 hit for the experienced while the newbs cough their lungs out to get high ![]() Maybe I'm just really high right now, but makes sense to me...

I used to smoke about every 3 - 4 hours all day every day for five years strait. As time went on I would have to smoke more and more just to get the same high. Eventually it got to the point where I was high for maybe 20 min (and a very mild high at that) then just burnt out the rest of the day. Took a months break and the high was more intense again, still not full blown though.

| There isn't proof for a reverse tolerance for THC. And the THC stored in your body has no significant effect on your high. What matters is smoking experience. The actual act of smoking. Bioavailability means how much of the drug will be absorbed into the blood stream, in this case THC. Those who know how to smoke cannabis have higher rates of bioavailibility than those who don't. For example (on average for both of these), inexperienced users bio. for smoking may range from about 10-15%, while experienced users bio. may range from about 25-30%. Those who are experienced get more THC out of the joint, pipe, etc.
