| So, I just had spinal x-rays done, and it turns out that my spine is shaped like a cork screw, I look like a scoliosis patient, and my neck is curving in the opposite direction as is natural. The thing is, MJ alone isn't helping, or at least the strain that I have now isn't...would one suggest indica, sativa, or a mixture of weed and another med? My pain is muscle pain, and nerve pain from pinched nerves, and the weed doesn't seem to help one or the other. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks. |

| Ouch! I've got "Frozen Shoulder", thanks to Diabetes. Some lower back issues and Arthritis. Sativas really don't do a whole lot for the pain. I had some very strong Mexi Brick awhile back that actually did relieve it a great deal. (Actually, since it was brick, I might have just smoked way too much of it. )There are a lot of Medical strains that work very well as an analgesic. They're mostly Indica dominant. The only thing wrong with those, is that they're hard to find, unless you join a Cannabis club and even then, it's usually $400 an ounce. If you can afford smaller quantities of stuff like Diesel or Kush, try 'em out to see what kind of relief you could get. Forgot what the strain ratio of Strawberry Cough is, but it's also well regarded for skeletal pain. Physical therapy is also great, btw. You just have to be in a little less agony to do it. Hope you start feeling better, regardless of the route your recovery takes! Medical Marijuana Strain Reviews And Global Marijuana News Helpful website for getting loads of information on Medi Pot

| I've heard indica for your body and sativa for your head.

| Unfortunately, I don't live in Cali, so I don't really have a way of getting a strain like strawberry cough...sounds like what I need though. I actually find it weird that a lot of people know the names of the bud they are smoking...and that different strains are different prices. I don't think I have ever had brick weed either... I think the named strain that I most often smoke is Northern Lights, which is Indica. |

| Northern Lights is pretty strong. Maybe that and an advil would work well. Probably better than T3. |

| Indica, no doubt about it, a heavy kush would likely do you well. It's a shame you're not in CA ![]()

"SUMMARY: Fifty-nine percent of voters approved Measure 692 on November 3, 1998. The law took effect on that day. It removes state-level criminal penalties on the use, possession and cultivation of marijuana by patients who possess "valid documentation" from their physician affirming that he or she suffers from a debilitating condition and that the "potential benefits of the medical use of marijuana would likely outweigh the health risks." Patients diagnosed with the following illnesses are afforded legal protection under this act: cachexia; cancer; HIV or AIDS; epilepsy; glaucoma; intractable pain (defined as pain unrelieved by standard treatment or medications); and multiple sclerosis. Other conditions are subject to approval by the Washington Board of Health. Patients (or their primary caregivers) may legally possess or cultivate no more than a 60-day supply of marijuana. The law does not establish a state-run patient registry." ~ Washington - NORML | |

| toothfairy420, I find marijuana to be ineffective in the treatment of acute pain. Keep in mind that I don't have access to medical grade marijuana but my experience with the run-of-mill weed I have access to is that it is no good for the relief of acute pain. You are probably going to have to get a hold of a very high quality Indica dominate strain and try that before you will know for sure. |

| Look here, you need to get connected with some 70% Indica/30% Sativa strain---more of the indica if possible. Indica contains mixtures of cannabinoids that will bind to the afferent neural pathways which branch out from your thoracic, lumbar, and cervical vetebrae. This selective binding to the afferent neural receptors will lessen the "sensation" of pain for the time duration that you are high--usually about 60 to 75 minutes. Try it and lemme know what is up. Use your connects to locate Indica rich strains.
