Help my friend

My friends and I started smoking around the same time. We don't smoke a ton, but at least once a weekend.

Well, last week I had two of my friends over and we smoked out my window, like we have done plenty of times, never had any problems.

This time one of my friends had a panic attack and thought he was gonna have a heart attack, I felt his heartbeat and myn was just as fast, but clearly he was scared. His face was completely white, he eventually got over it that night, but he was really scared.

The problem arises now that he says that he doesn't know about smoking again after that. Before this incident he would always talk about how much he wanted my two non-smoking friends to smoke because he knew how much they would like it. I need some tips on what to say to him to bring him back to his old self.

Dude I think that happens to almost everyone at some point. It goes with being a novice smoker. If it happens again or if he just needs convincing, remind him that NO ONE has ever died from smoking pot...and that he sure as sh!t better not be the first because he'll ruin it for everyone then.

Remind him that he doesn't want to be the one that gives pot a bad name. So with that awsome resposibility is mind, he should take it upon himself to make sure he doesn't die from smoking weed.

From the IOM report on page 121.

The cardiovascular changes have not posed a health problem for healthy, young users of marijuana or THC.

Panic attacks can happen. He just needs to realize that it wasn't anything life-threatening or permanent.

That used to happen to me. It wasnt from smoking too much like some people will say, it just happens.

Now I get like that if I dont smoke

And to answer your question, if i had a nickelbag for everytime this has happened to me, id have enough pot to overdose.

I seriously cannot count (in my newb days that is) the ammount of perfectly good nights that i have ruined with my constant:

Ive felt this way many times, and sometimes i find it helps to stop moving and sit down, or if thats too scary, get up, and go for a walk, get some fresh air, go to the store for some munchies, whaterver will occupy your mind for a while. Anyway, its just a panic attack and nothing will happen. dozens of times i thought i was gonna die, but then with time i got over that, hasnt happened in a while now.

Don't smoke in your room. Serious. For the paranoid free, it's all set. But for kid's like your friend here, it's just not for him.

Yeah, I CANNOT smoke in my room with friends because of one incident when my parents were knocking on my door and my friend had 1/8 lying out on my desk and I was really stoned. It was my biggest panic attack, and because of that I never smoke in my room with other people.

If you smoke up with him, smoke somewhere else. The surroundings of the room may remind him of the panic attack and just freak him out more. Try taking him outside; the colors are WONDERFUL.
