I used a vaporizer for the first time tonight, and I didn't think I would get red eye considering the smoke never travels up to your eyes. I have Massive red eye. Does anyone know why vaporizers would leave your eye's red?

To the Chemical and Physiological forum.

It's the THC that causes the red eye. It dilates your blood vessels.

I never knew that. Wait, what does dilate mean... and why does the dilate-ment (?) hurt the eyes, or make them red?

Dilate means to expand, the blood vessels enlarge allowing more blood to flow to that certain area. Thus the red eyes,"bloodshot".This is not a bad thing.

Just use an eye drop it'll fix it. Anyway how do you use a light bulb vaporizer? I've read some post's about it but I'm still confused. Does it leave a mark on the lightbulb and what about the smell?

Its not the smoke that gives you red eye...its the effect of the THC which dilates the blood vessels in your eyes.

Warning: overuse of VISENE and CLEAR EYEZ can be detrimental to your eyes causing your eyes to remain red and irritated for longer periods of time.

Some people MUST overuse visine in fear someone will find out they smoke alot of weed. Hopefully someday people wont need to put in eyedrops to hide the fact that theve just smoked some plant matter. thats prohibition for you.

that would be me and

mama is 100% right... my eyes are permanetly damaged cause of eye drops and as result i can no longer wear contacts and must suffer from bad vision or wear glasses....
