OK..first off, hello to all who reads this I am new here and wanted to say hello on my first post, so...Hellllllloooo

Ok, I have a question and it only seemed appropriate here in the Health and Medicine forum... well recently I purchased some pot and I was wondering, is there a way to get the pot tested to make sure it is infact just pot? I have smoked a fair share of weed in the short amount of time I have been on this earth, but this weed has a odd taste, and smell, its not really bad, but odd. And the high is not bad either, its after im done smokin and relaxing, I get this wierd feeling over me, and makes me breathe irregulary(sp?), and i feel my heart beat through my chest. It is brickweed(real compact) and doesnt look half bad...im just concerned, because I dont want to find out i was smoking weed with say...PCP laced in it. I know I might be jumping the gun on this, but i just stick with the natural things in life, no man made drugs like PCP.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say a perfectly good bag of weed is laced...

Usually, someone thinks a bag is 'laced' for a few reasons.

1) They think the weed might be laced, and as a result pay very close attention to any 'wierd' effects the pot may have. As your high is largely a result of what you expect it to be, you will, infact, get some wierd effects.

2) They don't have enough experience with different kinds of weed.

From your post, it looks like the bag is not laced. Breathing irregularly and having a fast heart rate are both side effects of being nervous (probably because you think your bag is laced!), and weed does, in fact, increase your heart rate.

Oh yea. I have actually smoked a bag laced with the drug you think yours is laced with. The dealer actually charged more for it because of it, and he told me ahead of time. This is because it costs extra money to lace a bag, and the end consumer is usually made aware of this. When I smoked it, my vision tunneled, and I became extremely disconnected with reality-for alot longer than the normal weed high lasts.

So I think you can safely say your bag is not laced.

Thanks for the input WNB. Yea, I kind of figured if it was laced with something the high would be longer than a typical weed high. Im just paranoid I guess.

But I still would like to know if it is possible to test the weed for future endeavors.

I would assume the only way to test it correctly is in a lab or some federal place. I don't think you wanna bring your stash to a lab and ask them to test it for you, as it's still illegal, so I'd say just relax and know that the chances of you getting laced weed is 1/1000000.

There used to be a radio show you would send your drugs to, they were tested, and they send you a card or something with all the stats (potency, weather or not it's laced, etc) but that was in the 70s or 80s (according to a close friend).

yeah, I can agree there. I was just wondering because they have that kind of thing for mushrooms where you can send it in to a lab and have the mushroom ID'ed...but then were talking about pot which is on Uncle Sams crap list.

lol, what a great way to score some free drugs!! haha. Thats crazy. Not to long ago, maybe 2-3 years ago, a radio station in the DC area had a comercial for sign ups for human marijuana testing. Had to of been a hoax, but a nice thought.
