Default Appendix

I just had my appendix removed yesterday (I got appendicitis, fun fun). I'm now at home and on Vicoden. I'm considering toking up, is this a good idea? Would the Vicoden cause any problems? Should I wait longer after the surgery to smoke? I know it will take my mind off of everything so in that respect it will help, but could I damage myself?

[edit] I'm gonna put it in God's hands. If no one replies in the next 5 minutes, I'll just assume it's safe and give it a go. [/edit]

when i had two wisdom teeth removed, the doctor gave me vicodin for the pain. i would smoke 15 minutes after taking some and i'm fine

this is probably off topic and will most likely be closed soon

I wasn't trying to be offtopic, I was looking for advice on if it would be ok to smoke after the operation, i.e. health risks, which to me seems to be on topic - and potentially valuable information. If anyone is curious as to what has happened, smoking had only one down side and that is that it does hurt to cough after the operation (something which I hadn't really considered before hand). Smoking didn't appear to aggrivate my pain any, and was just as pleasnt as always. Assuming there are no consequences that will hit me later, I will say to anyone that is wondering if you can smoke after being released from the hospital from having their appendix out, you can smoke safely if you don't mind a little pain while coughing.
