this girl at work told me that she hasnt got sick at all this winter because she smokes weed....u is this true? she said it slows down infections like the flu and stuff..

Shes wrong. It's the opposite; your immune system slows down when your high, making it much easier to get sick. I've gotten sick more than a few times from smoking too damn much.

Being high doesn't slow down your immune system.

Consider this quote from the WHO report on page 26.

No she is wrong. If anything smoking can make a person more prone to the flu and other infections.

i noticed since i started smoking, i get sick less often, but when i do get sick its way worse than before i started smoking. its because of all the tar and crap in my lungs i guess

Agreed with the above. I don't get sick but maybe 1 time a year, and when I do it lasts a while (probably from just smoking in general). Then again, I've always had this type of response, getting sick at least once a year, even when I didn't smoke, but it certainly doesn't make me get any more sick because I do smoke.

when im a bit sick and smoke a joint I seem to get cured, but if a im really really sick and smoke a joint it will just make it worse.so for me it depends how sick I am but it works most of the time.
