| More of a sativa strain can be a stimulant whereas an indica might just make you want to lie down and take everything really slow for a while. Are you asking if marijuana actually slows down the body's metabolism? Because I've often wondered that myself. |

| I'm actually a fully qualified sports trainer. I smoke weed alot and still manage to work out alot, i dont train people anymore, but just dont get high then do a workout it'll make u feel like crap. and i seriously doubt that weed would speed up your metabolism, i dont think it would do anything, but of course i could be wrong. Anyway alcohol can destroy a whole week of exercise way worse than weed could.

| There are actually bodybuilders who smoked a lot of weed back in the time when it was legal, for the stimulating effect and probably the depressant effect too. Sativa is a stimulant, so it's suitable pre workout, while Indica is suitable for bedtime. |

| I like pot for yoga, not so much for cardio or weights. It tires me out more quickly when I am on the treadmill, and my muscles feel weaker when I'm stoned and try to lift weights (probably because they're just completely relaxed...) But yoga + pot = amaaaaaaaazing.

| Agreed! I can't even get into Lotus position without Pot, these days. Two places the body high really helps out are my knees. They still creak after a few tokes, but they stop hurting and start bending. ![]()

| I went to my yoga class stoned last week. It was nice - I wasn't quite as 'zen' as I usually am straight, but I was able to hold poses a bit longer ![]()

| Agreed. I prefer it only in that way. Strength + Stretch + Patience = Happier Body For me, it's the best shape i've been in.
