just wondering, why does weed make you paranoid/edgy.

Good question, but I don't think just "one" thing can cause this. It all depends on the user. Heavy sativa strains cause more paranoia than a strain high in CBD/CBN, which would lead me to believe that higher doses of THC would influence this. Then again, an experienced user may or may not feel this at all.

If CBD counteracts the effects of THC, which would mean you have a more sedative effect, then perhaps it's the ratio of THC:CBD that has something to do with it.

I remember when I first started smoking, there was a lot of paranoia involved. Then again, it's hard to say because we (at least I do) live in a country where marijuana is illegal, which would probably add to the paranoia, knowing you could get caught. There are probably a lot of personal psychological issues behind paranoia, meaning what causes paranoia in one person won't for another, and vice versa, even if the strain is supposedly heavy with paranoia-inducing effects.

you get paranoid because its ILLEGAL.. and your gonna be soo screwed if you get caught.. do what I do. when you get high, put some clear eyes in, and then think about pleasant things, or do things you enjoy rather.. only be paranoid if there's a cop tailing your car or something.. but in all seriousness, there is no reason to be paraniod. just enjoy your blaze.

I don't get paranoid anymore - tho I have had my share of crazy paranoia in the past

It's all about the clear conscience, that and the fact I'm really not too concerned if I get busted or not.
