Im going to have a surgery on April 15th for my ankle, i broke it 6 months ago and they are going to remove a piece of a bone that has been irritating me for these 6 months. And there gonna give me anesthesia.. Would anything happen if i got high a week before this operation? like anesthesia awareness or maybe get tested??

hey buddy--go to google and search: Nitrous oxide and THC drug interactions. There my curious Jedi you shall find the wisdom you seek. Beware that even if you blaze up, the THC will still be in ya bloodstream for ~20 days.

They are not going to use nitrous oxide for an ankle surgery, nitrous doesn't put you out, it just makes you not care and a little oblivious as to what is going on. You will want to search for halothane, influrane, isoflurane, desfluorane, and sevofluorane. Those are the most commonly used general anesthetics for a surgery like that.

If your worried you can tell them when they ask you if you do any drugs, I am 99.99percent sure that you can't get in trouble for telling them that. From my personal experience though I have had no problems, I have had many surgeries, and I just had one recently, I held off from smoking about 2 days I believe before the operation (I usually try to go a week without before each surgery though), I didn't tell them I used, I went on with the surgery, they injected the stuff I went out like a light and woke up what felt like seconds later. So from my experience I have had no problems, but I'm no scientist, so don't take my experiences as hard evidence.

I smoked 24 hours before my ACL reconstruction surgery 2 weeks ago and I was perfectly fine.

if it was me i'd probably get high up until the day of the surgery lol. and i doubt they'd be testing you for pot for an ankle surgery, but i'm no dr.
