| Chuck Homan of Medical Movement.com has lobbied 20 of 26 HHS Committee Members and believes the bill will be reported out by at least a 15-11 vote which could be as high as 20-6 … IF enough citizens contact their representatives NOW. We will present the best legislative case in Philly, and you can be part of it. Thanks for all you do. |

| Write a Letter and send it [YOUR NAME] [YOUR STREET ADDRESS] [YOUR TOWN, CITY AND ZIP] [YOUR TELEPHONE] [YOU RE-MAIL] [DATE] The Honorable [FULL NAME OF REPRESENTATIVE OR SENATOR] Post Office Box [GET BOX NUMBER FROM The Pennsylvania General Assembly] Harrisburg, PA 17120-[LAST FOUR DIGITS OF BOX NUMBER] Re: House Bill 1393 Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act Dear [Representative or Senator's last name]: I'm writing to ask your support for HB 1393, the Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act introduced by Representative Mark Cohen and referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services. [Why this bill is important to you, and stories of people you know who might benefit.] I agree with Mr. Cohen's statements that medical marijuana is "an idea whose time has come," that now is the time for "cures, not wars on patients," and that we need to have a "new, honest image of marijuana." Thank you for considering my views on this bill. Sincerely, [YOUR NAME] PhillyNORML could use some donations at this time PhillyNORML - Donate |

| [FONT='Times New Roman','serif']In the past, we've asked you to donate money, call your elected officials, and write letters to the editor of your local newspapers. What we need now is your time and energy, to help us spread the word about PhillyNORML, Pennsylvanians for Medical Marijuana, and HB 1393. Right now, with the PA Assembly bogged down with the budget, we have an opportunity to raise a lot of awareness. Linked here is a flyer that we need people to put up everywhere in the state. Please, print a bunch of these up, and put them wherever you can in your community - post them in cafés, on bulletin boards, on telephone poles, in your workplace, in your apartment complex, your synagogue or church, and anywhere else that allows it. You can download the flyer from our website. Thank you for helping us spread the word in your community. It is a necessary step to bring the debate to every town in PA, and this will do exactly that. | See post #3 below: HB 1393 will likely pass in the HHS Committee. The higher the vote there, the more political cover Members of the full House have to support it. The Repellican-controlled Senate is another matter. One step at a time-- if we don't win at each legislative step, we may not be around for the final vote. |
