Don't vape/smoke when you get cold/flu...

I know some people report feeling better but... the fact is that vaping or smoking irritates lungs and promotes bronchitis when you have cold or flu. Notice: I don't blame the herb, I blame the ingestion method!

I knew that (you can find that info online) and I vaped once when my cold symptoms subsided (but not disappeared) and I got me full-scale acute bronchitis with all the symptoms 8 hours later. If you get to that point - you sure as hell will not vape or smoke

Maybe, but I always vape when I have a cold. Easier to sleep.

It doesn't do that to me and I was plagued with bronchitis when I was a kid. I think it's definitely an issue if you tend to get bad chest colds or bronchitis. I haven't even had a cold go to my chest in years and I don't worry about medicinal doses taking it there.

Well, it DOES irritate lungs and sinuses and irritation during bacterial or viral infections promotes more rapid growth or further infections. Its not just me. I get a cold or sinus or bronchitis 1-2 times per year, which isn't that bad, but I admit that I am prone to it.

smoking and especially vaping will not cause acute bronchitis

sometimes people just get sick.... dont blame the herb :P

It does cause chronic bronchitis, it does irritate lungs, and there was a study that showed people who continued to smoke tobacco when having cold were very very very lilkely to get acute bronchitis. Weed isn't tobacco, but its not the herb I was blaming, but the irritation caused by ingesting marijuana via vaporizing or smoking. Brownies would most definitely not give any bronchitis complications, but inhaling harsh smoke or vapor (I think vapor is pretty harsh, even at low temps) will irritate your throat, lungs, and increase chances of acute bronchitis.

It's not great for the already sick lungs, true... but I do still toke when I have a cold (maybe not as much). I wouldn't smoke with bronchitis but that's a given, I think.
As for the flu, most people don't ever actually get influenza. I think it would help with most flu like symptoms (nausea, aches and pains...).

LOL, wut? People do get flu and some even die from it. Now, the media does hype pig flu (and bird flu flew years ago) but you can't say most people don't get it... Maybe some physicians misdiagnose it or just prescribe antibiotics needlessly, but people sure as hell get it!
