| While California is going bankrupt, one business is booming. "How Weed Won the West" is the story of the growing Medical Marijuana industry in the greater Los Angeles area, with over 700 dispensaries doling out the buds. Following the story of Organica, a southland dispensary owned by Jeff Joseph that was raided by the DEA in August of '09, the film shows that although much has changed with Obama in office, the War on Drugs is nowhere near over. From Kevin Booth, the producer/director of Showtime's "American Drug War", "How Weed Won the West" shows how California could be an example to the rest of the country by showing how legalizing marijuana can benefit the economy. Starring Alex Jones, Ethan Nadlemann, Craig X Rubin, Doug Stanhope, Jeff Joseph,<br> Theresa Blaylock, Don Duncan, Bill Kroger, and more. A Kevin Booth Film Edited by Ryan Kaye Coming to DVD October 15! Pre-order now at SacredCowStore.com and get special VIP access to free digital download outtakes! |

| According to their website, sacredcow.com, it's being postponed to add/edit new material covering more recent events. lol, with so much going on these days with marijuana, I'd imagine it's hard to make any movie covering this subject up to date. There's new developments practically every day now.

| Haha I noticed that right away as well :P That looks like its going to be an awesome movie..or documentary or w/e you wanna call it. Its pretty sad that the DEA breaks into people's businesses who pay hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxes, yet still are told to get the fuck on the ground, and they even shot their dog. Who the fuck shoots a dog? Dont you think 10 guys with automatic weapons is enough to surpass a dog? The shit just pisses me off, which is why im so relieved that (hopefully) these raids wont be going on any longer. Honestly if I owned a dispensary, I would have it made so there is a lockdown mode if theres a possible raid. All I would have to do is press a button and steel walls would close off the entrances to my shop. Hell I wonder why more dispensaries dont do this, or at least try to defend themselves. I wonder how much trouble a dispensary owner would get in for shooting DEA agents for breaking in their business. Honestly, dispensary owners do everything legally, but based on the 10th amendment the DEA DOES NOT have the authorization to do what they do. There just isnt enough people to stand up to them. Most of all, why must they break into these dispensaries with armed weapons. If they're legally closing down the business, couldnt they just send a nice little letter saying its being shut down. Does the DEA really fear these dispensaries enough that they need to hold everybody at point blank? Shit pisses me off....
