Lifenweed

I know people say weed does not kill brain cells. But i am realizing first hand that this may not be true. I smoked a ton of bud this summer and this school year i feel as if i am not as smart as i was last year. I maintained a 3.57 GPA (unweighted) last year. My hope is to have at least a 3.50 this year.

anyways i am having trouble understanding some concepts in school which were easy to me before. Is this all in my head or is weed really disrupting my ability to grasp new concepts and learn?

Weed does not kill your brain cells, however, if you lay around all day and smoke and never use your brain you will forget things. Its not becasue of the weed in particular, its just because your not using your brain to learn new things. Studies have shown that smoking weed in fact makes parts of the brain grow, so if you study and smoke you should be able to do pretty good but you have to put forth effort. Its not the weed though man!

Marijuana absolutely does not kill brain cells. It does, however, affect your ability to concentrate and to lay down memories. I think that if you lay off the weed during the week and just do it once or twice on the weekends, your ability to learn and understand will return.

association, assumption, and excuses may be the real reason you feel dumber.as you have heard all over from the so called "truth" you may associate and assume that the weed has been killing your brain cells. since you have learned that the government lies your mind is now more open and questioning of information. simply feeling dumber and using weed as an excuse is not good. if you feel dumber go study. noone said weed teaches you math, language or whatever else you need but like live for music said if you lay around all summer without studying (who studies during summer?) you will lose some information

no need to get all defensive. i never blamed weed for making me feel this way. i was simply asking if this is the case. notice i didnt say weed IS making me dumber i said it "may" be dumbing me down and i was looking to the forum to help answer the question more thoroughly.

i am not a lazy guy who sits on the couch all day stoned, no i do not smoke during the week, and i am an active and studious guy. so that is why it kind of frightened me that i am feeling slightly less intelligent.

You only smoke on the weekends and you feel as though it is effecting your performance? Sounds like youre one of those types of people where weed just doesnt agree with you...not that theres a problem with that.

Lay of the dosia for a couple weeks and see if your performance improves. If not, its all in your head.
