so i have a question about the card. So i read that you have the option of getting like a plastic card ID or just a script from your doc. is the script only for a one time use cuz in all the the movies like super high me they only ask for the card. also is the name on a list rumor true if you get the card. which should i choose card or script. oh and any sites will in depth on the process of getting a card and frequent q's and a's or something like that. Doctors write recommendations for medical marijuana.

State or county issued medical marijuana ID cards are advantageous if a patient is confronted by the police. Using the card, an officer can quickly check a database to make sure that it's legit and you can be on your way. If all you have is a doctor's recommendation, the officer may need to detain you until it can be verified. If the doctor's office is closed, that could be a while.

With hundreds of thousands of medical marijuana patients and the current atmosphere in Washington, I doubt that you would be getting yourself in a bad position by applying for a medical marijuana card.

That's what I meant to say not perscriptions cuz some places have the 24 hour hotlne verification. Also what do you mean u doubt I would be in a bad postion with the current state of Washington

The Obama regime has committed itself to leave alone medical marijuana dispensaries and patients who are not breaking any state laws. To date, I have not heard of anyone getting busted because they have a medical marijuana card.

Obviously, if the police can check your card against a database to verify that it's legitimate, your name has to be on a list somewhere. The question is, are those databases being used to arrest people. The answer is "no".

Could they be used that way in the future? It's possible, but the DEA has stated that it's not interested in anything less than 100 pounds or 100 plants. That they would try to make federal cases out of hundreds of thousands of minor possessions doesn't seem to be feasible.

The Obama administration's position on medical marijuana has nothing to do with how the states enforce their own laws. The couple arrested in the video were arrested by local law enforcement with no DEA involvement. As the man was charged with distribution, there's more to the story than their medical marijuana.
