OK, so I have been feeling really sick the past week or so, and I finally went to the doctor, and was told that I had swine flu. Which isn't a huge deal per se, but I feel like marijuana is prolonging the effects. I was trying to "cure" the flu by smoking a bunch of pot, but it only works for a few hours, and then I feel even worse. Is smoking pot bad if you have swine flu? The doctor did tell me not to smoke cigarettes, and I have also quit drinking until I feel better...any advice or insight?

I think you pretty much answered yourself.. Weed's not going to do anything except weaken your immune system..

If you felt worse after smoking weed why would you do it??

If it's making you feel worse, then abstain until you are better. I suggest you pick up some Dan Active Immunity, and drink one a day. It really helped me get better faster when I had the flu. Push fluids too, water, juice, gatorade.

haha not really, i had been smoking my normal amount of ganj even when i was sick, but i realized it wasn't helping at all.

I vaporize at low temps when I'm sick, and I use a bong filter for it, so its not harsh at all. That usually doesn't seem to bother my sickness, however when I smoke I usually feel worse. The harshness of the smoke bothers me when I have the flu or a cold, but the vape works well.

Yeah at least use a vaporizer if your sick that way your not getting all the carcinogens that would fuck up your throat. If you dont have a vap you can always make one out of a spare lightbulb its extremely easy to make and works pretty good in my opinion. I think I might have the swine flu and the last thing id wanna do right now is smoke...though I do wanna be high I just dont wanna have any more pain in my throat
