Ok so today my mom looked through my text and saw someone said hey man did you get that hash, and earlier this week or before that, she found my papers in my jeans pocket(ik i'm a dumbass). And she told me that i have some explaining to do and ladadada and she said that it can trigger bipolar disease, my dad has it. I want to know if this is true, i looked on google and it said yes/no/its used as a medication. Please help me

From skimming Google it seems that most of the articles are about it's positive effect as medicine for people with Bi-polar disease. I'm not sure nor have I heard that it can trigger bi-polar. They used to say marijuana would trigger some mental illnesses that you already had, but smoking marijuana just made them come out sooner..but I believe that didn't turn out to be actual truth (I know someone here can correct me on that if i'm wrong).

I'm bi-polar and weed used to help, but it makes me uncomfortable anymore. I don't believe it triggers the condition, it will however give some people relief or it may make them worse depending on the person.

That's been my real world experience and observations on the matter.

In my case I believe stressful life events that were just too much triggered it. I didn't even smoke cannabis prior to coming down with my sickness of the mind.

Also, I've never seen a study that anywhere near proves cannabis use triggers mental ailments.

I was misdiagnosed with GAD until I seen a different doctor and he caught the bi-polar. Luckily I don't have extreme manic episodes. I cycle between a neutral mood and depressed.

I do not take the pharmaceutical medication so I suffer a bit but I deal with it.
