I've been trying to get in the habit of using a vapourizer instead of smoking. I use a long and skinny lighbulb vapourizer over a candel. When I use it it makes me cough more than smoking it would. The only explaination I can think of is that my weed has some kinda mold on it that is burnt when smoked so it doesn't effect my lungs. I kinda feel like it's a mild asthma onset. It goes away in 15 mins or so. Why do you think this is happening?

Well the weed was getting blackened on the sides a bit, but it's hard to help. I tried again today with some from a different bag and it worked better. I also held the vap higher above the candle. Next time I'll try with some from the old bag and hold it higher to see what happens.

the first thing that alarms me is youre using a lightbulb, thats probably whats aggrivating you
try using a real vaporizer or some plain piece of glass like a cigar tube or maybe even a beer bottle

well the lightbulb is actually cigar tube shaped.

Build yourself a proper vaporizer...Go to the scientific supply store, or your equivalent of the 'electronics graveyard'....

Get yourself a small pyrex glass, some rubber tubing and a rubber stopper, a scientific hot plate (with adjuster for temp), and a candy thermometer if your hotplate doesn't have a guage on it.

Drill a hole in the top of the glass dead center if you can just large enough so that your tube fits firmly.

If you are frugal about it and take your time acquiring the parts you can build yourself a top of line unit for under $50.
