I have never smoke ciggaretes, just weed, I rescentely stopped but, even before then I spit up this goo, from my lungs i think, I am not sick nor have been in awhile. When i eat or drink it comes up rather easily. But i can pretty much cough it up upon command . Am I dying. I have used a vapourizer heavily for the last 4 months before quitting. Basically always feel dehidrated. What is wrong, or has anyone had this before?

Damn, that sounds... Yeah you should probably go to the doctor, unless it's only been say 2 weeks. I like to wait 3 weeks usually before I go to see a doctor if there's something wrong with me; I figure, if it hasn't healed by then, then I should see the doc.

Why? I've never coughed up stuff like he's talking about. I used to buy cigars by the boxes and smoke at least 8 blunts a day. I smoke cigarettes. I smoke cigars as well. Never have I coughed up any black, brown, or green stuff; and if I do it's because I was sick.

same here man.. and this is coming from a person who can finish a quad easily in one day... I smoke prolly close to an 8th every two days, smoke ciggs, smoke blunts n bongs n j's and never had been coughin up that sshhheeeiitt

ya, but my gramma has been smoking atleast 2 packs a day of unfiltered cigs for about 50 years, but you wouldn't know it till she lights up, and we all know cigs are bad for ya.. not saying pot is harmful, just trying to make a point, unless u yourself have a PHD and have studied it, and proven its not harmless, then you can't say its for sure not harmful (moslty talking about smoking it with whichever method), if you still think its forsure not harmful, then your just plain ignorant.

It's the Greenish stuff I'd be concerend with ...

...brownish and blackish crap coming up with phlegm is Ash and Burned plant matter...not good and definitely an irritant but probably not bad...

GREEN however usually signifies an infection... I would strongly urge you to get to a physician and have an x-ray at least, have a good listen to your lungs through a stethescope and possibly a blood test to check your white cell count.

You could have the makings of a serious pneumonia there requiring antibiotics.

Till you get to the doc...and make it snappy...drink warm liquids (tea, chicken soup), rehydrating liquids (Gatorade, Powerade)...stay away from milk and milk products (Yoohoo etc.)...rest and stay warm.

...but see a doctor ASAP.
