My friend and i smoke ALOT of hash, like 7 times a day. we've been smokin' like this for atleast seven months. But lately my friend has lost his appetite he doesn't eat, only small amounts because he feels he needs to(not cause he's hungry). he's not quite sure if it's because of the smokin' or these pills he's on(not pills as in X, but subscribed by a doctor).
I'm gonna cut too the chase, do any of you think stopsmokin for awhile and the start again and get SUPER munchies will help?

We like to call that a "blunt appetite." It's where you get your tolerance so high that the only way you can eat is if you're high, and when you're not high you can't eat at all, or if you do try and eat it's only small amounts.

Simple solution: take a break, you have to lower your tolerance down again so you can eat high or sober again.

For the record, what is he taking medication wise, because that could also be it...

I have experienced this for the past four days.

I only smoke tops three bowls a day and once in a fifteen minute period but it still is happening.

I feel like it is hard to eat, when I look at food or even smell it it makes me just a little sick to the stomach. But when I'm high I can eat everything plus the kitchen sink. But I try not to.

Hopefully it will pass and hopefully your friend's problems will pass also.

It actually happened to me when I was getting high at my buddy's house, and he never has any food so I was starving all that time, thus my appetite disappeared

this happened to me recently and what i did was exactly what you said. I "quit" for 10 days and i smoked 4 bowls from a heavy hitting bong. I got back my appetite and just smoked less than I was before I lost my appetite.

This is a side effect that science has not yet reviewed -- however there are some folks who are use this as a method of fasting

Interesting considering there is much talk about a pill that stops the "pleasure" action of cannabis and nicotine and possibly other "pleasyre giving" drugs. It is being considered for weightloss.

Interesting that cannabis, with it's appetite causing THC can also beome appetite suprressive in the right situation.

Quittin for a little bit would be the best thing. The exact same thing use to happen to me when i would smoke like 7 times a day. The way I got rid of it is, I started smoking only on the weekends and I did that for like a month and at the end of that month my tolerance was down and I could eat again.
