| In that last two years that I've been smoking, and working at my desk for 12 hour days, I've accumulated a spare tire. Since I'm out of shape, is it safe to start exercising if you smoke everyday (but not getting high during the exercise)? I want to be able to start running again, and I know I gotta start slow and build endurance, I just want to know if smoking everyday (very little) would block any progress in losing some weight. Thanks in advance. |

| Absolutely it's safe. In fact, many people smoke WHILE they exercise for the increased concentration, respiration, heart rate, etc. Just don't go overboard if you do it, i.e., don't smoke a crapload and get all ****ed up then work out for an hour or anything like that. Everything in moderation, and always know your limits. If you work out too hard, you'll hurt yourself, and MJ makes it's easy to go beyond what your normal limitations are so just be careful and make sure you don't go too far.

| I've never smoked it before working out, but I usually smoke it after, to relax my muscles after an intense workout.

| I "power walk" ...which is basically the only way you CAN walk a boxer dog Having a nice buzz and taking that walk definitely puts you in a zone -- very aware of the birds a chirping, the bee's a buzzing, the butterflies...the wind in the trees -- the stars at night -- Very neat. Not to mention loosing a bit of weight too after being chair bound for a number of years. MJ does increase heartrate so starting slow is the way to go -- and building endurance is the key, longer distance at a slower pace. Check with your physician for a "fitness" check up for peace of mind if you have any medical conditions. I still feel Dog Walking is the BESTEST exercise ...and Poochie Budz agrees | |

| Cool, thanks for all of your input! I think I'll start off with a light jog... Tomorrow or Tuesday, I'm getting stoned right now and... don't feel like moving. Hope this won't get in the way! ![]() |
