| You might be having an allergic reaction to the pot. I know two people that whenever they smoke it boogie woogies on their brain far too long and when they told there dr. he said "dont do it" (of course) then he said "sounds just like an allergic reaction to me". I have heard this before as I know another guy that is allergic to alcohol and it gives him an ampliphied(sp) effect ... |

| i have a friend who has the same deal, he gets super-baked off relatively short smoking sessions. i don't know at all what happens with him, but i'm curious if you have a lot of energy when you smoke, because for him, he's ready to run a marathon if he has to, and he's always up and about, talking his head off. it also last for about 5 hours for him. | |

| lol at weedprophet. Same here man. I am starting to get low tolerant again, and i don't know why. One to two hits and I'm feeling good, and I don't like to run marathons either. I can't even play hackysack with my friends, because I get pretty stoned. They get all mad at me cuz i mess up the rotation so they end up kicking me out of the hackysack session. Hahaha. Peace out BH4C | |

| Allergic reaction: usually refers to a histamic reaction (inflamation, wheezing, mucous membranes clog, throat tightens, eyes run) in an effort to remove or cut off the poisoin offending attack (rash, pollen, dander etc.) THis doctor used the term incorrectly to mean "a negative reaction to a substance" and gave you the advice"if it hurts to do it, don't do it". What you were looking for was the answer to the question " Is there something worong with me and should I be concerned?" Answer: Nothing wrong with you. You are more susceptible to THC at this stage and point in your life. And 6 month vacation can make you a more easy high when you start back up. The only concern as was pointed out was to keep safe and not let yourself get into a situation where your inebriation will put you out of control in an insafe environment (party, rave, strange house, friendly date that could turn not so friendly) When to know if there is a problem: When you smoke mj to feel good, and smoke mj to feel better. What to do: Consider that you may be dealing with life problems by numbing your emotions with pot. There are better more effective and MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE methodds of doing this. From changing your bed time schedule to give you an extra hour of sleep...to taking up yoga or knitting...to anti-depressants and therapy if necessary. The only stupid thing to do with pot is to hide behind its effects. That is a lose = lose situation. Hope that helps... ~ take two cookies and in the morningMama Budz * I Toke & I Vote * | |

| What's the difference between controlling your depression with anti-depressants and controlling it with pot, Mama? I would think pot to have less side effects...

| Pot acts as an immediate euphorant, it makes you feel better quickly. This is effective over the short term but it does not correct the underlying problem. Continuous use of pot is too interefering with normal daily life to make it an effective anti depressant. Prescription anti depressant drugs will actually bring the bodies level of "feel normally acceptable" neurotransmitters back to the levels they should be at which allows you to function in normal life. Once you have re-achieved a balnce in your life then you can address what is affecting you (stress, life problems, family crisis, biochemical imbalance) and take care of the problem that caused the depression in the first place. So to summarize, pot will act as a very short term anti-depressant but is not effective for more than a few hours. Prescription anti depressants will alleviate depression and allow you to function over the long haul. Hope that helps...if not ask again...great question by the way ~ have a cookie ![]() | |
