|  Poll: Is addiction considered as an illness/mental disorder? I was wondering if psychological addiction to a substance was considered as an illness/mental disorder? |

|  Why Don't You Start A Poll ?? I think it's up to the user, I don't think of myself as addicted, only as a user of a substance that I use to relax. I like to work on my home computer and create things. MJ makes me relax so I forget about work and think more about myself and my needs.

| i just looked at a rehab site this quote is what i found "the addict does not set out to hurt themselves or others" judging by that statement they probably classfy it as some kind of mental illnes
