Hi i had just smoked with a few friends last night and i noticed that i had trouble talking right after i smoked, i could only talk in a whisper has this ever happened to any of you...what could it be? thanks!

Could it have to do with your mouth and throat drying out - "cottonmouth"?

Maybe your larynx was a little fried from passing hot smoke.

I've found that I can't whistle for my dog after I smoke and that's definitely cottonmouth.

I think it would be from the cottonmouth and the fried pharynx like Buzzby said. Once in a while I'll feel both of these things combined and it gets hard to talk, so I drink some water and let my throat cool down a bit.

Sometimes when i get stoned my brain relaxes so much that the last thing it wants to do is think of words, and telling the mouth to speak those words is even harder, so i just chill and listen to the music. I like that feeling sometimes. That wouldn't cause one to whisper though.

im pretty sure this is something that happens when your high. when your high, and outside especialy, you want to hide it from other ppl so that u dont get busted, so naturaly, u speak softer. also, with hightend senses, you might think your yelling when your speaking normaly, since you can hear everyhting better. it dosent happen to everyone, but i think thats the case.

Come on people, think this one out logically.
When you smoke, you pull hot smoke over your throat and into your lungs.
Case closed.
Sounds like minor throat/lung irritation.
Invest in some Ricola, and relax.
Unless you are talking about not being able to produce logical sentences, which can easily be attributed to being HIGH!

pulling hot smoke over ur throte and into your lungs dosnet make you loose your voice like that *snaps fingers*

your throte can handle it, youl stil be able to speak. your voice will go slowly, after each time your smoke, but it will take a while, it wil not happen instantly. and a lot of ppl's voice deepens when they start smoking, but it soon evens out when your throte gets used to it.

the way hightimes explained it, seemed like it wud be one of the effects of being high (mental) and not physical.

thats odd, most of my friends including myself always find ourselves yelling when we are high...

once again.. when your high, the way you preceive the world is different. this includes all of your sences, including hearing. like you said, JustBlaze, you find yourself yelling when you are probably speaking normaly, and, if your outside, you dont want to be yelling otherwise people will notice that your high, so wat du u do? whisper.

it may not be exactly the same case with you hightimes, but probably similar. just another effect of being stoned

Ive gotten high as **** that I had trouble talking.
At first your voice will seem very deep but then after smoking everyday your voice sets back to normal.
