I've always smoked out of a joint, pipe or bucket bong because my friend told me that i'd it's not good 2 get water in ur lungs, which is what happens when u smoke from a water bong.

Well, on the w.end i smoked from my first water bong(with coke, not water in it), had around 3 hits and was feeling great. However, i have come down with the flu and i've got 5 layers on. I was freezing cold the days after i took my hits, but not this bad. Is it from the water bong or just a coincedence?

I have never heard of watering your lungs with a bong, however I won't even drink coke, let alone inhale it, just an example, if you put a drop of coke (soda) on a car guess what it does, eats the paint, something tells me that shouldn't be in my body.

Maybe you got germs from your friend while passing the bong, that's the only way I would believe you got sick "from" the bong.

What I think is you caught the flu dude, it's going around with a vengance right now.

Higher Logic

Fallacy of Causation: you assume because you smoke and because you got sick that smoking was the cause; you probably would have gotten sick anyways. And why do you put Coke in the bong? That's nasty, Brooke is right, Coke is horrible for you (well caffeine in general is, I don't drink it unless it's mixed with an off-topic)

Although I don't understand how you reason that water gets in your lungs when you smoke out of a bong, I agree with the other comments in that coke cant possibly be any healthier. And I agree that your getting the flu right after smoking a bong for the first time was a coincidence too.

where the **** is that brain of your man.. If you really want to subsitute something other than water in a bong, do some fruit juice or some ****... COKE??? cmon man, you know if you put your jewlery in a cup of coke it will clean it leaving a spotless shine.. Its not nuclear science to think oh snap, maybe I shouldnt be smoking soda.... But about u getting sick Im pretty sure you were sick before you smoke and when u smoked it supressed your immune system, leaving you sick when you came down.. So in other words you were already sick man..... btw, grape juice or tropical fruit juice is a pretty nice subsitute for water, but i still prefer water n ice man..
