Default serious pain...please read

Alrigh...so...I havn't smoked pot for 2 and a half months...but...2 nights ago I was at my buddies house...it was me, him, and another guy....we had picked up some awesome bud off his friend, one of my friends took a hit, and within seconds he felt it...he said it was most definitly the best **** he ever smoked....so I took a hit, felt the same...about 5 minutes later, I took another hit...it was great...third times the charm, and around 2am, I took a third hit...it was so great, until I opened my mouth a bit too wide, and my jaw cracked....it felt like vains were forming behind my ear, and blood was being pumped to where it shouldn't...my friend, who was sitting half way across the room heard it too, that just got me more freaked...about 5 minutes later I got a weird feeling in my eyes like they were bleeding, I'm sure it was just the body high kicking in...but then I got a horrid feeling in my throat and spine, it was really painful and almost made it hard to breath in, when I thought about it I could breath fine and deep without the pain getting any worse. but the pain was still there. whenever I moved my shoulders it felt like they were sqiushing around. a little while later I couldn't even stand it...I had to sleep it off.....felt like my eyes and ears were bleeding...but there was a fan blowing right into the side of my face.....anyways...

if anyone has ANY idea what happened to me, please, PLEASE tell me...I've been a smoker for a while now. love smoking pot, I don't want to be afraid of it...

P.S. it really was INSANE bud...

It sounds like you slightly dislocated the joint of your jaw and pinched a nerve. Being really high made the experience pretty vivid, didn't it?

If you're not still in pain you'll probably be fine. Just don't hyperextend your jaw anymore. If you're still in pain a visit to your doctor might be in order. He'll probably put you on a course of cortisone to relieve the inflammation.

Yeah, I dont think the weed had anything to do with it (other than enhancing the pain once it happened). If you do end up going to the doctor, I dont think you'd need to mention the pot.

yeah, my buddy said it was all in my head but...it really didn't feel like it...I know I didn't do any serious damage cause when I woke up I was fine...but, I've cracked my jaw before...it sure as hell didn't feel much like this one did...and that doesn't really explain the weird pain everywhere else either...

That would be explained by the pinched nerve. The site of the pain may have no relationship to the site of the injury.

Marijuana can make pain go away but not the way opiate painkillers work. Instead of numbing your senses marijuana works by helping you to focus your attention elsewhere so that you don't experience the pain. It can work the other way as well. If you focus on an injury you can pick up every subtle nuance of the pain and probably imagine some that aren't there at all.

Default High paranoia

Yeah, the pain was most likely real. However, the feeling of eyes and ears bleeding is most likely just paranoia kicking in. The pain was probably just making you extra scared due to the high. I've had freakout panic attacks while high and I've experienced similar feelings of my eyes feeling like they're bleeding. I've also had my jaw unhinge before. Never while high though, I'd probably freak out big time if it happened to me while high. So yeah, those feelings were pretty normal I guess.
