| Hey guys. I'm a light smoker (usually only on the weekends or school vacations), and I've had a very scary experience. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this happening or anything. Last Friday, I was hanging out with my friend and we were just chilling and smoking. I felt fine for a couple of hours and a few blunts, then we smoked a joint and I took a shotgun. 10 minutes later I started feeling weird and my vision was like a stobe light. I was talking normal, but I wasn't remembering what I was saying. I got up to get a drink of water and I got really weak and I just collapsed and I hit my head on his stove. I immediately went to bed because I was kind of scared. Saturday I went out of town. I felt fine all morning, but while in the car I noticed effects of the previous night coming back. When I'd lay my head against the headrest it'd take a second for the feeling to register. When I was talking to people I wasn't completely sure of what I was saying. Sunday I just laid around the house and felt fine, so I figured I'd just had one of those "hangovers" I'd heard about. Monday I went to school, and the feeling came back. I was worried I'd suffered a concussion, so I called my mom and had her take me to the hospital. I had a catscan, and the doctors told me my brain was perfectly fine. Until Thursday, the effects had been coming and going. On Thursday, my brain felt fine, and I wasnt confused about what I was saying, but my body felt weird, like I was on cough medicine or something. About 2 PM yesterday, the effects came back out of nowhere. Today I feel fine, but my body's a little weird, like yesterday. My friend I smoked with didn't have any effects, so I don't think it was laced. I've heard about people getting really high and feeling like they have a hang over for about 7-10 days. Is this just the case or should I consider seeing a neurologist? There are several doctors in my family and they say if nothing shows up on a catscan then there's nothing wrong with my brain. I've decided to quit. As much fun as it is, I don't think it's worth it. |
