is it true that the tar in cigarettes is not soluble and deposits in your lungs..
where as the tar from a marijuana joing is water soluble and clears out?

The chemical constituents of tobacco and marijuana are basically the same if you compare the whole plant. Of course the psychoactive chemicals are different, but not many of the ones in the tar and resin.

What makes marijuana better is that less is smoked.

Also, tobacco is grown with some nasty fertilizers and pesticides and other nasty chemicals added during the processing, ie. ammonia.

I don't think that junk does the smoker any good either.

Another thing that makes it better is that smoking marijuana does not seem to cause lung cancer. In a study of 60,000 people it was found that the incidence of lung cancer in people who smoked only marijuana was lower than that of people who smoked nothing at all. Other studies have shown that marijuana inhibits the growth of tumor cells.

I'd be interested in finding out if the incidence of lung cancer in people who smoked both marijuana and tobacco was lower than that of people who smoked tobacco alone.
