| Hi all, I am wondering if anyone can help me out here. I have never tried pot, or any other drug, unless it was prescribed. I have been suffering from Tinnitus, non-stop, for 2 1/2 years now and I'm seriously considering trying marijuana to see if it will help control the Tinnitus (ringing noises in the ears). I've tried just about everything else, so this is seriously an option and a huge step for me. If anyone can tell me if they had or have tinnitus and use pot, what happens? Does the ringing noises get worst? Does it calm down to a tolerable level or does it just stay the same? Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated!! Usually my Tinnitus lasts for about 6 months and then goes away for about 2 years. This time, it won't go away It's very stressful, very frustrating, and it's altered my life in more ways than you can imagine. It has changed my social life dramatically because it's harder for me to follow what people are saying. (I forgot to mention, I was born with a hearing problem, so add the ringing noises and you get quite the annoying combination.) Makes you want to dig out a gun I'm a little concerned about the posts that I've seen people put up about dizzy spells. I get enough of those on my own, i don't need any more help with that. Anyway, I've blabbed on long enough. I look forward to hearing from everyone who can help out! |

| I have never suffered Tinnitus, so I can't tell you whether marijuana will relieve it. I have never read any literature that assesses the impact of marijuana usage on tinnitus, if you chose to experiment, you may be performing some groundbreaking research. Dizzy spells tend to occur in people who smoke far too much, far too quickly, toke it easy and it shouldn't happen. Marijuana's capacity to relieve anxiety and stress is unrivalled, perhaps this effect of marijuana can relieve your suffering?

| People get dizzy when they get high sitting down and then stand up suddenly. This happens when people aren't stoned, too, but it happens especially when you've consumed cannabis because it lowers your blood pressure. Standing up suddenly also lowers your blood pressure. In some cases people have blacked out from standing up, so be careful.

| I have tinnitus from attending a lot of concerts and listening to stuff like Led Zeppelin really, really loud through headphones for too many years. Nothing helps it and it drives me nearly insanse sometimes, particularly when trying to go to sleep. Thus far, in all honesty, orgasm has been the best relief from the incessant ringing in my ears. Give it a whirl!peace

| Hey, guess what? I also suffer from tinnitus! Well, I should say "have suffered" I've always had a hissy ring in my ears. It really became apparent to me when the tryed to put me on Paxal. When I went back to the doctor to tell him what was happening he of course changed my meds. He didn't tell me to go smoke a joint. No one's ever had to tell me to do that! The doc. seems to think it's also from my louder music days. Don't get me wrong....I still like to blast the drop top from time to time especially on warm sunny days. Anyway....no weed never actually stopped the ringing, however it does make it easier to deal with. Here's my advise. go ahead and smoke yourself a big of fatty! Don't jump in there and think your gonna get it right the first time. You'll probably cough and think it taste weird. But relax! That's what it's all about. Make sure your around friends who you can trust just incase you start wigging out about the fact that "oh my gosh! I'm high! I'm a sinner or a criminal!" That's what happened to my mom, when I finally talked her into sitting down and smok'en the peace pipe with me. Getting high is ok, nothing to worry or be ashamed of. Just last night I was at Applebee's and watched two tables of men and women drinking drink after drink getting louder and louder. Calling each other "*****es" or "a**holes" they even were calling the poor waitress belittling names. You'll never see anyone who's just high calling anyone names or getting all loud and obnoxious in public. Open a new door in your life, you just might find a whole new beautiful world out there and maybe, just maybe a softer ring in your ears! I'd be more worried about the guy who's put 2 post out here saying he wants to get to know you. eeekk!Peace and much love sister, |
