I've experienced what I call "the slows" after smoking frequently. I found that large doses of B-vitamin complex restores me to normal. I'm talking about the "Big 50" or "Big 100" kinds of B complex tablets, which you can find in most places vitamins are sold.

It can't hurt. Give it a try and see if it helps.
I've been having this problem, too, so I'll also check this solution out and report the results back to you guys. Thanks, by the way.

If anyone else has other solutions to this, I'd like to hear them, because this has been practically the only drawback to my marijuana use.

Woah! Thanks for all the help all of yas, so much that has been said I can relate too.

I'm somewhat at a stage in my life (age 21) where I am really looking to become a better 'me'. I am aware that I should read more books to expand my vocabulary so for the first time in years I'm reading a book Every word I can't understand I'm opening up the dictionary as well as constantly analyzing my performance in work and just the way I act.

What I'm worried about is this 'ganja training' techniques that has been prescribed for my condition I'm concerned it will lead to an aid in 'tolerance' and thats not really what I want to do because through the week day I'm busy at work but once friday nigh hits I just wanna get high so I can just relax and get into that state where work is no longer an issue (along with the many other benifits of the mind state of which I experience )

Man, I must be one messed up person because what happens to me is exactly the opposite. Day to day as I my life normally, I find myself burdened with slurred speech, a lazy attitude, and am unmotivated.

But when i smoke pot, my slur goes away! I Feel energetic! I Feel great! It feels like i'm reborn and am excited to be alive, i savour and enjoy every little thing that happens in my life.

What is with that? Am i ok?

Don't sweat it...

It's no big deal... But if you have an interest in writing, it's pretty cool to write stoned ~~ creative or nonfiction journal ~~ and vocabulary is everything to self expression. It's also handy when you want to be romantic...

You feel a mild euphoria...Cannabis is a euphorant.

It sounds as though you might have a mild dysthymia which is a fancy way of saying your entire system/metabolism might be depressed. I could be due to stress, lack of sleep, an underlying health problem some simple allergy to low thyroid to blood glucose levels.

The slurring speech would suggest a level of exhaustion, rather than a neurological cause (some brain disorders cause slurring) as you describe it lightening when smoking.

If you were my kid i would take you to the docotr and DEMAND a Blood glucose screening and a complete Thyroid battery... along with the usual height weight blood pressure etc.

If everything checks out fine -- then a small dose of an anti depressant may be necessary to allow your body to produce more naturally occuring anti-depressive neuro transmitters.

If it is Thyroid, you take a little pill that will allow you to feel awake ...

If it is blood sugar levels, you will learn how to monitor yourself to avoid further problems like getting diabetes.

Anyway though, get to the root of the problem and you willalso enjoy your pot a lot more -- you will need to use less, get more from it -- and generally enjoy a better quality of life over all.

Take care of yourself...you are worth the time.

Quite the opposite for me.
The days after a sesh i am concentrating more than ever and am also extremely motivated - i especially like to smoke weed the night before my Aussie Rules football games - hell, i once smoked until 2am the night before a game that started at 1pm the next day and ended up kicking 7 goals - career high . Also, for some reason, i usually seem to wake up around 7am the morning after

Once, however, i had smoked around 7 times in 3 days and felt pretty slow - much of the symptoms you're describing

Prepare yourself for the end result, though...look at what i wrote while high: Could've landed up in a mental institution:

-No source of information is credible
For something to be credible, it has to be certainly true.
Even the history we learn(t) at school is not credible. When you state a fact, for it to be true, you must prove it. So, if I were to ask you what happened in 1939, you may reply that Germany invaded Poland. So, I ask you how you know that. You may reply that a teacher told you. Or that a parent told you. Or that you read it in a textbook or magazine. This is not proving it. This is using another source as a scape goat for your lack of knowledge. Nothing is 100% certain unless you see it with your own eyes. Everything you know about the times before you were born is not dead set. Prove that Germany invaded Poland. Not to me, but to yourself. If you cannot, then how can you be so narrow minded and willing as to fully accept anything an adult or authority figure tells you? Have you ever seen Adolf Hitler in real life? Have you ever met George Washington? The Pharoh? Nostradamous? Moses? Then how do you know they are real? Now, I know what you’re saying, ‘Moses? Of course I don’t know if he existed or not. But recent history I can accept as true’. What is recent history? Where do you draw the line between people you are certain existed and people who you are certain did not. 1990? 1980? 1970? 1960? 1950? 1940? 1930? 1920? 1910? 1900? 1890? 1880? 1870? 1860? 1850? 1840? 1830? 1600? Ah, you have reached your answer. It is 1600. What about 1650? 1700? 1750? 1800? 1850? 1900? 1950? 2000? Where do you draw the line? The truth is, that you cannot draw a line between things you have been told about history that are true and things that you have been told about history that are false. Since we cannot say for certain that someone like Moses, Jesus or Mohammed actually existed and we cannot draw the line between people we know existed and people we don’t know whether they existed or not, we must then agree that we do not know if anyone exists at all. When your history teacher tells you there was a World War I, ask him or her to prove it! Therefore, schools are not a 100% credible source of information.
Let’s look at the wonderful world of news(I say that in the most sarcastic tone). We get information from all around the world. Most of us have never been to these places that we see or hear about ourselves. So, what’s stopping news reporters from standing in a dump and saying they’re in Iraq? What’s stopping news reporters making up places that don’t really exist? “Common sense” will tell you that it is most likely that Iraq is a real place, and I tend to agree with this. However, if you have never been there, how do you know it is real? How can you be so narrow-minded to believe with perfect faith that a country you have never been to, but have seen strangers talk about it on the news, exists? We all know too well how images can be formed using a computer and some software. Since we cannot be 100% sure that places we see on television actually exist, we are not sure if the places we see and hear about in the news exist. Therefore, television news is not a credible source of information. You may be telling yourself that you already know this fact(about the credibility). We tend to base most of what we believe to be knowledge on what we see or hear in news, not just our opinions. For instance, the first place you heard about the country of Iraq was most likely on a news programme. Being a victim and slave of this society, you instantly believe with blind faith that Iraq exists. Can you really say that this country exists? The truth is that we cannot say with absolute certainty that any place we have never visited before exists.
OK, so we’ve decided that news and school are not credible sources of information. Since school is our source of knowledge as a child and news is our source of knowledge as an adult(this idea is expanded in chapter 3), we can assume that all other sources of information are not credible, since these are the two most fundamental sources of information we receive. If you don’t like this “proof”, think about this: If you look over the two previous paragraphs, a common element is evident. The fact that, as people enslaved by western society, we have conformed to any information told to us by authority figures and made it knowledge. We now know that this is not a credible way of obtaining information, since people have ability to distort facts. Logically, there is a possibility that the information told to you by authority figures is false. Therefore, no source of information is credible.
I wanted to finish this philosophy on that point, but couldn’t go on without mentioning something else. This book can be seen as a ‘source of information’. Therefore, this book is by no means credible at all. By all means, rip it apart(not in the literal sense). Every idea can be supported and destroyed very easily. Since we base our ideas on our knowledge, which is attained from sources of information which are not credible, no idea is credible and therefore can be destroyed in some way. However, because every idea must have a valid reason behind it, otherwise it never would’ve popped into the person’s head. Therefore every idea can be easily supported and easily destructed. Even this idea you can disagree with. And the beauty of it is that I can disagree with you. You can also support my views. And I can disagree with your positive views on my views!
Another thing is that it is logical is to learn from historians about history and news stations about geography, but you must just keep in mind that these sources of information are not necessarily true and therefore not credible. This book uses a wide range of sources of information in many instances, which makes the book lack credibility, as all texts do. I try my best, however, to keep the book largely opinionated. My opinion is credible to me since it is what I believe in(discussed in chapter_). Thus, the only things that are credible to you are your opinion and things you see. Of course, this book, even my opinions, are not credible as my mind has just become a source of information.

i think i intended to write an entire book or something but fell asleep at the desk...when i woke up this was staring me in the face..

Good for you! I'm 24 and started on the same path myself a year or two ago. Don't underestimate yourself -- you can accomplish almost anything! And there are sooooo many areas we can all improve ourselves in. Physical. Mental. Emotional/social. Spiritual.

I never get high before, at, or during work, but I always smoke in the evenings and on the weekends. I find that it doesn't negatively affect my performance at all, except for the occasional short temper if I've been sober all day and people are bringing me stupid **** that they should have figured out themselves =) But then, I probably would get mad about that stuff whether I smoked or not... and smoking is a great tension reliever!
