| When you smoke pot, how many of you get an increased heartrate, not due to a panic attack, but just because of the pot? |

| Everyone gets a more rapid heartbeat. It's a direct physiological effect of the marijuana. Blood vessels dilate. Blood pressure goes down. The heart beats faster to compensate.

| Smoking marijuana is my primary form of aerobic exercise! All that deep breathing and rapid heart rate keeps me in peak condition. ![]() |

| I am not talking about when I do really technical downhill trails, but when I am on a moderate or easy trail I like to do the hardest part of the ride (mostly the climbs) and then get high and sort of float down the mountain. When I pedal after I get stoned I feel like it is less effort to go quickly. |

| I've tried to be pretty good about these panic attack threads but seriously now, we have like a thread for each symptom it seems, and half of them are started by you alone. Either do a search to find an existing thread, or post in the general panic attack thread (or at least read through it, all of your concerns have been brought up multiple times about this). Since you seem to be posting so much about panic attacks, perhaps that's your problem: you are being TOO concerned with it. Panic Attacks* Heart related issues. Overcoming panic attacks. Exaggerated heart rate. Panic attack before smoking. Acute panic attack. Infamous 18+ page thread on panic attacks. *A must read, answers just about everything regarding panic attacks PS - An increased heart rate is a known result of smoking cannabis. It's like asking how many of you get high after you smoke, it's supposed to happen.
