| I've just taken about a month break after about 5 - 6 months of smoking alot, everyday. I Feel that my outlook on life has changed, well like my perspective of everything is very different and weird, and find my self having very weird thoughts. From personal experience, does anyone know if this will fade in time and if i will kind of get back to how i used to be? Like maby in a month or something when im totallly clean?? sometimes i feel my self feeling ok and confortable, but then at other times iwill jus feel relly unconfortable and weird. thnx in advance |

| I would hope your thoughts, perspectives, and outlooks on life have changed; it is, of course, a mind altering drug. For the better of course. Explain your thoughts though. Are you focusing more on life, on death, on where you go when you die, on where you come from, why you are here?

| well, numerous things. Mostly i think of how time jus seems to pass by, and basically what your doign right now, will end and never come back you know? Also talking to people i consider to know very well seems awkward, almost like i can read what theire thinkin just by looking @ them, its a very weird sensation. Also, i feel very detatched from my self, almost as if i am not apart of my self, it feels very weird, i think i have just let my mind and toughts flow way to much. This is the reason why i decided to take a break hoping it would slowly reslolve, which it is. I'm just wondering if i will have this perspective from now on?? or if maby i am just going through a faze and will soon return to my old state of mind? |

| Looking at your posts it appears ypu started experimenting with Pot in April, and spent a lot of time toking up. Enjoyed the experience, but now are finding it to be not as enjoyable and perhaps interfering with you life somewhat now that summer is here. You are right to takea break. It can take about two weeks to a month after smoking for you to feel less edgy and sleep more normally. You will also find that your perception of other people will have changed, you will be more aare of body language and the way things are said. That is called awareness. It also comes with age. Try to stay to a healthy routine of caring for yourself -- daily shower, and personal hygiene, your personal responsibilities (making your bed, taking car of your things) eat properly and nutritious food at that, do try to get some exercise even a walk around the block with a favorite canine companion. You feel like your old self, but you will think like your new self. Take it slowly and you will be fine before you know it. Mama Budz | |

| thanks for the posts, ive been doing what youve said like try and live a healthy live style etc. my whole life, and more so now. I find that working out and excercise helps alot and gives you a feeling of accomplishment and stuff. Well yea, i feel as if i get im gettin better every day just i am kind of missing toking up..another thing.. say if i were to begin again, but only say weekends..or @ partys, do you think that i would go back to to this feeling of weirdness all over?? I know its kind of a weird question, but i think that since i was smoking everyday, i would think everyday about things i questioned in life. At first ideas seemed very weird, i guess since i was high almost most of the day, i quickly began to actually forget that these were just bogus ideas in my head, and believed in them. So do you think maby toking occasionally would alright? also id perfer it that way, more enjoyable |

| I'd say ...based on your concern about your emotional and mental health, thatyou should stay away from smoking weed for awhile until you are positive that you are not adversely effected by it. Your personal concerns seem quite strong and to dilute your efforts to "clean out" your system now seems to be counter productive. Marijuana has been around for millions of years.... It should be here when you turn 18. | |

| its probably not the advice that you would want to hear since u just quit or whatever.. but my friend just went through like a 2week depression period (much like yours, i just dont remember details) but he just got over it a few days ago and said that the way he got out of it was just to keep smoking and he toughed it out.. buddies a pro though, i cant even keep up with the kid. ![]() |

| yea iv also had these same problems. mine seem to fade just after a day of not smoking, but then again i dont smoke everyday. i found that the feelings of awkwardness and the feeling that your friends seem just weird has a lot to do with self confidence. if your confident about yourself and just have fun with your friends you will feel much better. smoking makes u over analyze certain things, usually being life situations. if your feeling this way just try to be with ur friends and have a good time. also music is very helpful. if u play base or drums those are a very nice combo. me and my friends jam together and its an amazing feeling. i also wanted to add that its better to stay with ur friends for the period of smoking and the period of time where you are coming down from ur high up until your normal. usually like 3 hours later depending. for some reason when i would smoke and then leave after a while, you think to much and get depressed. and yes if i would say that you should just smoke occasionally and at parys. for one its better for you and for two you have a better time because your not so tolerant and used to smoking. i actually just made this account to answer your post haha. im not into weed enough to join forums really. i just felt the same feelings before and figured id help ya. |
