Robbers Target Medical Marijuana Store 1 hour, 1 minute ago

Police searched Monday for two men who robbed a University Heights medicinal marijuana store at gunpoint, San Diego police said.

Two men, one armed with a shotgun, the other a rifle, entered Tender Holistic Care at 2109 El Cajon Blvd. at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday and demanded marijuana, SDPD Sgt. Bob Dare said.

The robbers obtained an unknown amount of the drug before fleeing in a newer white Isuzu Rodeo or Trooper with tinted windows and a spare tire with a black cover on the back, Dare said. The vehicle was last seen being driven east on El Cajon Blvd.

Witnesses described the first robber as an African American man, with long hair, possibly in a ponytail or dreadlocks, wearing a long sleeve black shirt.

The second suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man with short hair, wearing a white T-shirt.

The store's clerk was not injured during the robbery, Dare said.
