Hey there what's up I hope that this is in the right place. I did do a search before posting but it came up empty so... Anyway my question to you is Today as of like 2.5 hours I got my lip pierced and I bought a bag today and was wondering whether or not it'd be a good idea to smoke it. I thought maybe if I ya know rinsed my mouth with salt water like your supposed to do. Maybe but I wasn't sure. That's for any info.

You're good to smoke. It's the same thing as getting a cut on your arm and wondering if it's "ok" to smoke because of it; it won't get infected if that's what you're asking or complicate anything. It might bother you because you just got it pierced, but the high should help that out

Hey man thanx alot. I'm really excited that I know now that I can smoke it's wake and bake like normal tomorrow. Thanx for the advice!!!! That was my biggest fear was it getting infected.

If it hurts to put the bowl to your lips or something, you can always eat it to bypass the lips.

It hurts alittle but the more you smoke the less it hurts! Naturally

You can french inhale (through the nose) to keep from agitating it (suction will deffinitly agitate it) and that also gets you high quicker (some of the smoke gets absorbed int he capilaries).

No it doesn't. And when you french inhale, you still have to put the smok into your mouth (french inhaling is when you draw smoke into your mouth without inhaling, and then inhale through your nose and it draws it out of your mouth). There's definately not enough absorbtion power in the nose to constitute a "better or quicker" high.

Be careful of the heat coming off the end of the doob or off the pipe etc. Metal heats up fast and you don't want to burn the healing tissue. In fact, a little neopsorin on the outside (on your face) may be a good protective measure (wash the area first with antibacterial soap, dapb on some neoporin or other antibacterial cream or ointment with a clean q-tip swab).

BTW, where did you get the piercing and what kind?

I have a pal with a few "hidden" piercings ... they fascinate me

Yeah, or maybe get one of those long cigarette filters that they used to use back in the day a lot. The ones you see in old movies or tv shows being used by 'high society' women or whatever!

Or use a bong mainly, if you can. Then you don't get a lot of the direct heat, but all of the sweet goodness.

Mama's right, you don't want to burn the tissue that's working so hard to heal though. My GF has a lip piercing and she was just mainly careful and used the bong mostly and she was fine.

Are you sure? Because that's how "other drugs" can be consumed. You're sure that the THC in the mj smoke doesn't at least a little get absorbed by the receptors used by the olfactory part of the brain? Like scent?

I had my lip pierced.

1) Be aware that it (especially labret) can rub on your teeth and gums-- I had to take mine out because of this.
2) After you smoke, rinse your mouth with Bactine or a similar enzyme-based antibacterial solution (DONT use alcohol-based ones like Listerine or Scope). If you don't have this, use isotonic saline solution made from sea salt.
3) DONT use neosporin or vaseline. These prevent the wound from healing properly because they are petroleum-based oils which prevent air from surrounding the healing tissue.

There is one major difference between piercings and normal surface lesions --- piercings are puncture wounds, as opposed to surface wounds. Your body responds to them differently, heals differently, and takes longer to heal.

THC can be absorbed through the membrane between the nasal cavity and the brain-- it produces a very strong high. You can actually snort kif, but I don't recommend it. When I was a heavy smoker I would french inhale a few hits out of a bowl to increase the high.
