Physiologically this would actually be worse, if you're thinking about using it for asthma.

I agree. Hot knife method is extremely unprecise, could produce occasional smoke.

The important factors in using marijuanas for asthma are 1) strain / variety , 2) organic production process, 3) long and slow curing process (cannot stress enough) , and 4) intake method that involves the least amount of smoke.

In other words, if you need to smoke a joint for asthma relief, I doubt it is entirely helpful in the long run. You may have the wrong marijuana in this case.

So the real answer to the question of this topic "does smoking help or hurt your asthma?" is that mostly as a general rule, smoke itself is not helpful for asthma.

Default asthma, allergies, and anatomy

i had mild asthma when i was younger. it went away completely, at age 10. after smoking weed for 4 years, my asthma came back... 13 years later. i actually needed to get preventative medicine that i still take every day. at first, i thought it was b/c of the weed, but then i found out that living with allergies will eventually cause many people to develop asthma, so that may be what it is. a lot of people don't think about that when they think about asthma.

btw, the preventative medicine (singulair) works wonders... i highly recommend it to anyone who's having trouble with asthma.

What kind of weed do you smoke? Does taking one hit of it expand your lungs and does it give you an uncomfortable high (like being too stoned) to smoke more than a few hits of it?

Or does it take more than a few hits to be satisfied? Do you take more than 3 puffs per day of the kind of weed you have? Did you smoke tobacco or anything else in the 4 years?

Red face Chronic Athsma, and Vaprizing Marijuana

I have been in and out of staying at the hospital for chronic athsma attacks, I am so sick of the medication, and the I.V's . Is my athsma too bad to be helped by using a vaporizer for marajunan use? Should I stay away from Mary J Altogether? I don't smoke it . I used to, but them my lungs got worse, and now I'm hearing about how mary j helps if vaporized. I just don't know what to do, and I don't want to be a vicitim of my chronic athsma, which could be very soon. If it will help me, what kind should I smoke? and how do I get it? and what kind of vaporizer should I use? and how many times per day should I puff?
