Hey all, I live in California and I am currently trying toget health insurance and I have come to the point in my application where it asks me if "I am taking any prescription medications other than birth control and if so which ones"? I have a medical marijuana prescription from a doctor sooo.....

Now i am wondering if I will get disqualified from my health insurance or if a bunch of red flags are going to go up in some insurance company database and then that can get sold to the federal agency who bids the most.

Actually I am not to worried about the feds. if they wanted they could just raid the places I go....but I am worried about the health insurance. Do I EVEN HAVE to tell them? is it perjury or a felony or anything to lie on my health insurance application?? should i tell or should i not? you decide!, well i will but some input would help.

You do not have a prescription for marijuana, as marijuana is not part of the US pharmacopeia and can't be prescribed. What you have is a doctor's recommendation that marijuana might be useful for whatever condition you might have.

You can honestly say that you are not taking a prescription medication other than birth control pills.
