| Over the last year I have started to cough a lot. I have been smoking every day (missed a week or 2 here and there) for the last 15 years. The last 6 months I have had a lot of chest pains and I started to cough up brown stuff slowly and caught bronchitas stoped smoking weed and cigs and I took cefuroxime axetil (antibiotic) for and the cough stoped then i coughed up a lot of brown, green and at the end a bit of blood. After the anitbiotics I took salbutamol (bronchial dialator) now the cough is gone Im not smoking for 45 days and out of 5 coughs in the day i may have alittle dark dot in some mucas but getting less and less. I habit cough a lot to as I am worried I have lung cancer or emphysima. I still feel a bit of a pain in my left lunng through to my back and now after stopping smoking after all those years I look like i got bags under mmy eyes. The first few weeks i had the typical withdrawl, but now i feel like my eyes are always dry and I feel tight chest. Are my eyes partly due to the change to being clean and my body not used to it ot blood sugar or I dont know. |

| I think it's just because you're still recovering from the bronchitis. Take it easy for a little longer and see if your symptoms go away. If they do, I think it's okay to gradually start smoking weed again. If I were you though I wouldn't start smoking cigs again, they wreak havoc on all parts of your body. It's a personal choice though. |

| If you want to be kind to your lungs you'll quit smoking cigarettes altogether and get a vaporizer for the weed.

| Have you seen a doctor for your symptoms? About a year ago, I had a really bad case of bronchitis. I was given antibiotics and a prescription cough syrup for it. One night, I had a really bad coughing fit that lasted for about 3 minutes. The next morning, I coughed up a little bit of blood. For the next two days, I felt progressively shorter of breath, up to the point that I went to the hospital, thinking I had pneumonia. It turns out that I had a pulmonary embolism, a blood clot in my lungs. It's a very serious condition, sometimes fatal. I was hospitalized for 10 days and put on anticoagulents, which I still take to this day. Coughing up blood is the primary symptom of a pulmonary embolism. Do yourself a favor and see a doctor. Peace.

| my first advice to anyone with bronchitis: stop smoking cigarettes. i know that even when i only take a drag or two at night, which i rarely do, i wake up the next morning and have a noticeably harder time breathing. as to the weed: vaporizer would be your best choice, or eating it. but if you can keep the smoking down to a reasonable level, i dont think it makes that much of an impact as long as you make sure to stop every once in a while if you feel your lungs getting worse.
