I've been smoking fairly frequently for the past few months, and I've begun to notice that I am getting incredibly "burnt out" after each time I get high (I'm not sure if that's just a local term, but it refers to a general feeling of physical fatigue and mental tiredness). While I believe a certain amount of this is simply an effect of the drug that one can do nothing about, I have noticed that I have been burning out very harshly lately, such to the point that if I smoke before mid-evening, I am simply to tired to enjoy the rest of the evening by the time it comes around. My question is: what should I do? The obvious answer to me was to take a break, so I am doing that (will this actually help?) What I was wondering was, is there anything I can do while I'm high to avoid such harsh burnouts? (Smoking less sounds reasonable, what about what I eat, physical activity while high, etc?) Thanks. -Capo

I love marijuana and I love smoking it all the time, every day. Unfortunately, like any other chemical, your body and mind both build up a tolerance. Smoking everyday (for me, at least) is only worthwhile for maybe two or three days. Taking a break from smoking altogether is the only way to make it work. Even a week or two will make your next smoke feel like it did years ago. Also, any sort of diuretic (like cranberry juice) should help to clean out your blood of any residual cannibinoids that would slow your detox.

Allow me to clarify: THC and its metabolites are excreted in both feces and urine. However, biliary excretion is the major route of elimination (THC undergoes extensive first-pass hepatic metabolism). Low levels of THC metabolites can be detected for days or weeks in the urine and feces after cession of use.
