decoherance

ok, so ive been smoking cannabis on a daily basis for the past 15 years. there isnt much i dont know about it, ive tried many different strains, ive grown it, ive lived in amsterdam, ive sold it, and to be honest my life is pretty much based around it.
last week i got hold of a quarter of some weed ive never really come across before, it was very dark green (almost black), very dry and crispy, very hard and compact and had no real smell to it. normally i would've refused it but i cant get hold of any from my usuall source so i bought it.
its very harsh and hot to smoke and tends to close up my airways (im asthmatic) but has the taste of thai weed (i know this as i lived in thailand for 2 years) although it didnt look like thai.
supprisingly i found it to be very strong, almost comparible to the top dutch strains but after about 2 hours ive had the feelings of a fever, very cold, uncontrolable shakes, sweats and a high temperature.
at first i made no conection with the weed and assumed i was coming down with the flu, but the next day i felt fine and it wasnt untill i smoked some more that night that i started feeling feverish again.
now this has been going on all week, ive been feeling fine all day at work but about 2 hours after smoking a joint of this stuff ive been getting a fever that lasts all night.
i went to a friends house on friday night who had some normal weed so i smoked that and didnt touch the stuff i had and felt fine all night, so it has to be the weed that is giving me this fever.
ive never in my 15 years of smoking experienced anything like this and its worried me somewhat. could the weed be mouldy? could it be laced with something? am i allergic to some chemicals used in the growing process?
i wouldnt normally resort to posting on the internet but i dont know where else to get any answers.
can anyone help? anyone had a similar experience? does anyone know what this weed is?
