Weed can make your eyes dry and itchy, but that's an acute affect that goes away when you come down. If you have "lacrimal insufficiency" - your eyes don't produce enough tears - then the dryness could persist.

If the twitching doesn't have to do with dry eyes, I don't think it's due to marijuana use. At least, I've never heard of it before.

Did the eye doctor tell you kind of problem you have? If he prescribed medication he must have some idea.

I know i've had times when my eye has twitched....well my eyelid....always just chalked it up to stress...anxiety....one time it went on for 3 weeks straight...god awful...but it went away...tried smoking more...and less....didn't seem to have any effect on it whatsoever.

it has happened more than once that my eye twitched for a couple hours after smoking. if it starts to become chronic i dont think its from the weed. i think there was a thread in here like this a few weeks ago. buzzby if you can provide us with a link, thanks.

Your eye twitching is most likely related to you holding your breath either too long or too deeply when smoking. You are starving out oxygen to the brain by doing this.

In between hits, maybe make a point of inhaling nice clean oxygen, to remind yourself not to starve the brain of the air it craves.

As for your current fit of eye-twitching, don't worry. It will last up to 3 months, then go away.

Friendly note...you don't need to hold your breath when you smoke. It doesn't make you get higher....i think the extra rush you're gettin is just oxygen deprivation...but w/in 5 seconds of inhaling you get what THC you're gonna get.
