| Does hair collect thc that many that it has differences between smoking the same amount of weed, lets say, clean shaved and the same amount with long hair. And I wanted to ask something else. I smoke weed for 4-5 years now and started smoking very frequently(at least once a day) since the beginning of this summer, with few breaks. I'm starting to feel a little schizophrenik and I wondered could this be powered by the hair, I've been growing and I wonder whether I could figure out that if I shave it now, when I smoke heavily or to stop and see then. This is not a joke and I'm very serious. This could also help other people who haven't asked themselves about this. Another thing - can a person have clear mind about that he is a scitso? 10x to all that will cooperate. |

| When you smoke, it will take approx. 7 days for the THC metabolite to show in your hair.... but , it will get in the hair. Anything that settles on the outside of the hair, is dissolved away by the testing lab... then they grind up the hair, and run a spectranalysis on the hair.... It will show..... very hard to beat..... |

| Are you asking if smoking marijuana while you have hair makes you schizophrenic? The answer would be a resounding No! When you use marijuana it breaks down into non-psychoactive THC metabolites. These are deposited in your hair as it grows and can be detected by a hair test. There have been studies which report that men who have a genetic predisposition towards schizophrenia may develop the disease sooner if they become heavy marijuana users at an early age. What's going on that makes you think that you may be schizophrenic? Do you hear voices? See things that aren't there? Are space aliens sending messages directly to your brain? I'm not talking about goofy things that happen when you're stoned. If you're schizophrenic these things would be happening at other times.

| As i said im smoking at least once a day for a very long time with few breaks(1-2 days without pot). Im feeling almost stoned at all time , but my question would be if the THC stored in your hair is psycoactive - Buzzby says it isnt, ok. And another thing, i assume that if u have long hair the thc there will be more rather if u had small/no hair.Im not hearing voices or such, but sometimes these days im feeling very weird. like im somebody else - and i wanted to ask to be sure ;]. btw till now i've never had hallucinations or such 6*ts. |

| Schizophrenia is one of the hardest maladies to diagnose, even by a professional physician. A self-diagnosis is almost impossible. If you think you may be schizophrenic, the best thing to do would be to consult a doctor. However, most people have only a vague idea of what schizophrenia really is, so just because you think you are schizophrenic or developing schizophrenia doesn't mean you really are. As Buzzby asked, knowing your symptoms would help us a great deal -- what makes you think you're schizophrenic? But even if the symptoms you give us sound like they may be schizophrenic to us, we are laypersons and hardly qualified to make such a diagnosis. Cliff's notes: if you are truly, seriously worried about being schizophrenic, see a doctor. If you are just thinking you might be but unsure what schizophrenia really involves, then you probably aren't. Paranoia is not schizophrenia, and "feeling like someone else" really isn't either. But then again, I'm not a doctor.
