undefinedundefinedMY FRIEND IS A STONER, HES BEEN SMOKING FOR A YEAR HEAVILY...LIKE ONCE EVERY 2 DAYS HE TOLD ME IF I WANTED TO GO SMOKE WITH HIM AND I WANTED TO SEE HOW IT FELT AND I SMOKED WITH HIM AFTER MY FIRST PUFF NOTHING HAPPENED I THOUGHT THAT I WAS IMMUNE OR SOME **** SO I STARTED PUFFING LIKE CRAZY...LATER AFTR A FEW MINUTED I WAS SO HIGH THAT I COULDENT EVEN WALK RIGHT, I HEARD S**** AND SAW **** THAT WASENT THERE. I HAD ALOT OF FUN AND WANT TO DO IT AGAIN. SO I WANT TO KNOW IF WEED MAKES YOU STUPIDER. BECUZ I WANA GO TO COLLEGE AND STUFF. :SPARK:

Nope, weed does not make you stupider. The only thing that makes you stupider is you not making yourself smarter. So keep your nose in the books!... or at least in front of a screen reading the wonderfulness that is the internet... the neverending book!

Also, enjoy the crazyness that is smoking your first few times. Do not worry, eventually you will get used to the change in perception smoking gives you, and you will aquire a tolerance of some sort.

It is more than possible to smoke cannabis and go to college at the same time. So you have nothing to worry about on that account.

The way i see it there are 2 kinds of stooners. Those who spend all thier monye on weed and those who get thier things done and bills paid and then smoke weed. The best kind of stooner is the second one becuase the first one gives respictable stooners bad reps. So my answer is no as long as you are responsible about smoking you can live a very productive life and still smoke weed.

Hi there new toker! I went to college in the early 80's and got a ba in mechanical engineering with a 4.0 gpa and national honor society. I would advise that you smoke after all schoolwork is done to relax. I wouldnt advise taking mid terms stoned. Be smart about it and use it wisely. Usually, i would wait till after 5pm to get high so that i could enjoy it and never had a weed hangover, but alcohol will leave ya a mess if drank in excess. Be careful and good luck in college>

Dont know if you can get any "stupider" than you already are.

The typically "stoner" you see portrayed in movies and tv aren't an accurate portrayl of the many people who toke. Smoking doesn't make you a "stoner". It annoys me when people smoke and then decide to center their whole life around that one thing. Pot is an excellent supplement to many people. Kids your age (I'm guessing 12 or 13?) shouldn't be smoking. You don't know enough about moderation and self control yet.

For the record I'm in college right now and have a 3.4 GPA and am majoring in Psychology. I have that 3.4 with only studying about 10 hours a week on average. I have friends who don't smoke that have much lower GPA's. I don't think smoking affects your mind at all other than the occasional "DID I lock my door?" or the feeling that I forgot something (which does happen to me quite a bit.) But I think it's a fair trade-off from all the good herb does for me.

one of the most intelligent individuals i know, or will ever know smokes his face off (hes in mensa, genuine genius i guess).

on the other hand, i know a lot of stoners who can't put a sentence together or form a complete thought (or so it appears).

in my opinion, your future is in your own hands... don't throw caution to the wind and experiment with drugs until your brain is fried but other then that...

Higher Logic

I know a lot of stupid people who don't smoke that don't pay their bills, don't go to school, can't hold down jobs, can't drive to save their life, and so on. I know a lot of stupid people who smoke that can't do any of the above either. I also know a lot of smokers and non-smokers who are the exact opposite: they have jobs, they are on time to places, they aren't stupid, they can drive and are quite safe, they are responsible. It doesn't matter if you smoke or not, it's ultimately up to you, not what you smoke.

Smoking weed can ruin your future just like video games and T.V. can. Don't let weed get in the way of school, friends, family, etc., and you very well could become the president of the U.S. someday. Weed itself is relatively harmless, and when the high wears off you are back to normal. No damage done, with the exception that the smoke is bad for your lungs.

Like blazin said, anything can ruin your life if you cannot control it. Gambling is a big one too. And I had a 80% average all through my high school years, smoking often enough. It's the negative stereotype associated with marijuana smokers, because the majority of people you see flaunting marijuana on tv usualy have long hair and tye dye t-shirts. Wealthy business men that smoke weed cannot say that they do, because this would put their job and life in jeopardy.
