MRI and marijuana? help please!

i didn't know what other forum to post this is in so i hope this is okay.

A dear friend of mine uses marijuana as a medicinal for her pain...doctors have been trying to figure out what's wrong with her other than the "soft tissue arthritis".
She has to go to an MRI in April and wants to know how long she should stop smoking pot before her appointment.
if anyone here has any information on marijuana in association with MRI's it would be of great help to a loved friend.

Well, six weeks is usually sufficient to clear all THC-metabolites from your system, but, why is she worried about having an MRI if she uses marijuana?

Neither THC nor THC metabolites would show up on an MRI. Using marijuana doesn't produce any structural changes in the brain that would show up on an MRI.
