going blind after smoking!!!!

my daughter has been smoking weed for about 2 years and she has been having some strange thing happen to her, she goes completely blind after smoking? whats up with that, any response would be appreciated. It has happened the last 3 times she smoked. She smokes about 2 tokes from a .5 of a gram. maybe 2 times a week.

What has your ophthalmologist said about her condition? Did she have eye problems before she started smoking?

If you haven't taken your daughter to the ophthalmologist about this, do so ASAP. If it happened to my daughter I'd have her in the ER in ten minutes.

This is not an effect I've ever heard. Marijuana lowers intraocular pressure, but that shouldn't make anyone go blind. I know people who smoke huge amounts of marijuana and none of them have gone temporarily blind.

Only thing i've heard people just going blind from is diabetes...and that's severe...and doesn't just happen overnight. Is she a severe diabetic? Maybe if it does screw with intraocular pressure tied in with that...just a thought. But seriously, if she can't see take her to the ER. If she can now, get her ass to an opthalmologist ASAP! They will make emergency appointments for urgent issues...seems like this qualifies.

first time smoking someone turned on an awsome stero and i felt the room shake then i felt the sound go through me then i went blind for awhile i also got tunnel vision

Tunnel vision is NOT the same thing as going blind....i'm sure most of us have had tunnel vision from time to time...well...atleast back when we were freshheads

i got tunnel vision and then when someone put on music i went totaly blind or i blacked out im not sure

this has happened to me, but only once. I believe that it happened because i smoked too much(1/2 oz, smoked bowl after bowl until the sack was gone, took about 45 min to smoke it all).

it didnt happen suddenly, first i started feeling uneasy, then i felt more tired than i have ever felt in my lfe, then my vision started shaking faster and faster until everything was black. i ended up laying on my best friends kitchen floor with a glass of water for close to 45 min, it was so terrible that i couldnt comprehend what was going on in reality, all i could concentrate on was the fact that i couldnt see. it was probly one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me. the only way i can describe it is my mind couldnt comprehend more than one thing at a time and i guess my vision wasnt what my mind was trying to comprehend.

i think it happened to me because i smoked too much. i dont know about .5 grams but everyone is different, so i guess its possible.
