The other night i lost the hearing in my left ear for awhile my friend sayed it was because of smoking alot for along time and your brain gets a layer of fat over it? is this true

Definately you can't lose your hearing from smoking, although, a membrane or "layer of fat" forms around some of the brain cells and when you stop smoking you still have them, unlike alcohol!

What on Earth are you talking about? The human brain is some 60% fat. Additionally, the membranes of all cells are composed of a thin double-layer of fatty acid molecules.

how come when i smoke now i hear a pop and a loud ringing in one of my ears but it only happens when i smoke

ill see if i really did loose my hearing next time but im not sure if i did or not

it sort of felt like popping your ears on a airplane or going under water

Are you holding it in for awhile when you smoke? That could have something to do with it.
