| Greetings all. I was curious if anyone may be able to help me with a problem that I have encountered for some time now. I have been getting extremely queasy lately for no reason at all. Yesterday was the worst case, in which I vomitted everything I had eaten in the past 12 hours out at the gym. Usually I can subdue the puke, but yesterday it was too intense to fight and ! Most of the times it is while in a vehicle, but sometimes it happens while sitting in my room relaxing. The only change that I have made in a while was starting smoking pot again after not doing it for over ten years. I never got sick before the past month while doing it. I am curious it if could be the pot, or possibly something associated with it like the incense smoke? Any input is appreciated. ![]() |

| Most naseau is caused by an inner ear problem -- the ability to "balance" yourself. Smoke -- of any sort -- can effect the inner ear as the inner ear is connected to the nose and throat through the eustachian tubes. The other possibility as you pointed out could be a response to the smell of pot, which could trigger a naseaus feeling for you. You may first want to check with an Otolarynxgologist -- Ear Nose Thraot doctor to confirm that there is nothing wrong with your ears and balance, and exclude the most likely culprit first. Of course you may also have a stomach "virus" -- usually a mild food poisoning or salmonella infection -- which can cause vomiting for days until the body fights of the infection. In that case, a clear liquid diet, including fluids high in electrolytes such as sports drinks, sweet clear tea, and very plain carbohydrates such as toast, plain baked potatoe and plain white rice, is suggested to allow the body to fight the illness. | |

| Thanks for the help. I do often have a pressure feeling in my ears, and sometimes one ear will go temporarily deaf. The pressure feeling occurs several times throughout the day, and usually lasts about 5 mins or so. The temporary hearing loss happens a few times a week and lasts about the same amount of time. I guess I will have to get that checked out. Thanks again for the help. ![]() |

| I have actually been feeling better. The throwing up could have been caused by me working out for the first time in about 8 months. I still need to have my ears checked though. |
